Relax Vital - For greater equanimity in stressful situations

Some dogs are particularly sensitive to changes in their environment, loud noises or social challenges. In such situations, they often show signs of stress such as rapid breathing, trembling, dandruff formation, excessive barking or nervous behaviour. At these times, even soothing words or normal human support are often ineffective.

Gentle help for stress, nervousness and stimulus overload

Relax Vital is a natural complementary food that has been specially developed for dogs with increased sensitivity to stress. The carefully balanced formula contains botanicals and nutritional supplements that can help support your dog's overall well-being - especially in challenging situations such as storms, travel or vet visits.

For inner balance - every day

Relax Vital provides your dog with important nutrients to support the nervous system and contribute to a balanced and vital behaviour - in a completely natural way.

Relax Vital is part of the Vital product line, which serves as a dietary supplement, care and protection for your four-legged friend.

Stress and its effects

Stress is necessary for survival. In potentially dangerous situations, the body responds with activation measures: increased blood flow to the muscles, increased pulse, increased sensory perception, deeper breathing. Fight or flight - everything is on alert. Only sustained stress or overexcited reactions to innocuous stimuli can lead to long-term problems in our animals.

Causes of stress

Changes in environment: stress can be triggered by new surroundings, loud noises, moving house or changes in the home.

Social factors: stress can be caused by conflicts with other animals or lack of socialisation.

Separation anxiety: Separation from the owner or prolonged time alone at home can cause stress in dogs.

Health problems: Pain, illness or injury can also cause stress.

Overstimulation: Too much stimulation, such as loud noises, intense activity or excessive interaction, can cause stress.

Effect of feed supplements on stress

The balancing effect of some plants on the autonomic nervous system has been used by humans and animals since time immemorial. The use of psychoactive herbs has a long tradition in folk medicine. Both stimulating and calming effects have been demonstrated.

The Relax Vital recipe contains six selected plants that can have a relaxing effect on the dog's psyche and behaviour. Adverse effects such as a reduced state of consciousness, drowsiness or apathy are thus avoided. Concentration and calm attention can be promoted, which can help the animal cope with strange situations and handle stimuli without fear.

Frequently asked questions:

What ingredients does the product contain?
All ingredients of the product can be found under the tab What the product contains. Contains the following herbal ingredients.

What are the typical signs of stress in dogs?
Stress in dogs can manifest itself in a variety of behavioral changes and physical symptoms. The most common symptoms include

Restlessness and nervousness: the dog seems tense, often pacing back and forth or having difficulty calming down.
Increased barking or howling: Vocalizations may be a sign of internal tension or insecurity.
Shivering or muscle twitching: Without a cold, shivering can be a sign of stress.
Withdrawn behavior or avoidance: Some dogs withdraw or avoid certain situations and people.
Aggressive behaviour: Stress can lead to increased irritability or even aggressive behaviour.
Destructive Behaviour: Stress relief can manifest itself in destructive behaviour, such as chewing furniture or objects.
Physical symptoms: frequent licking (especially of the paws), digestive problems or changes in appetite are also possible reactions to stress.

What are common causes of stress?
Dogs are very sensitive to changes in their surroundings and social environment. The most common triggers of stress are Environmental changes:

New places, unfamiliar situations or moving can make a dog anxious.
Noise and loud noises: thunderstorms, fireworks or construction site noise can be very stressful for many dogs.
Social conflicts: Tension with other dogs or pets in the household can lead to internal stress.
Separation anxiety: Prolonged loneliness can lead to severe stress, especially in dogs with strong attachments.
Health problems: Pain or unrecognized illnesses are not only physically but also emotionally stressful. Overstimulation: Too much stimulation - for example, in the form of constant play, visits or constant activity - can overwhelm a dog.

How does a dog relieve stress?
Stress is a perfectly normal and even reasonable response of the body - even in dogs. In stressful or unfamiliar situations, more adrenaline is released, the body tenses up and goes into a state of heightened alertness. This reaction prepares the dog for possible escape or defence. However, it becomes problematic if the dog cannot reduce this tension on its own. In such cases, support from the owner is particularly important.

A calm and confident person can help their dog to relax more quickly, as dogs are very sensitive to another person's mood. Calming measures such as soft music or a low-stimulus environment can also reduce stress levels. Better still, don't let it get that far at all: A balance between exercise and rest, regular walks, mental exercise and a solid daily routine are important building blocks for stress prevention. Equally important is a stable, intimate bond between human and dog - this gives the animal security, orientation and inner peace.

However, if stress occurs regularly or is particularly severe and symptoms cannot be managed simply by adapting the environment or training, professional help should be considered. A vet specialising in behavioural medicine or a qualified canine behaviour therapist can help identify the causes and work on them in a targeted way.

How can I help my dog manage his anxiety or stress?
Start with simple but effective steps:

If possible, provide your dog with a quiet place in your home, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Too loud noises or too much movement can irritate him.
Create a routine in the daily routine. This will give your dog confidence and reduce his stress levels.
Reward his positive behaviour with treats. This will help you practice relaxation together and foster your bond.

How long does it take to have an effect?
As this is a natural product, the effect can be expected after 3-6 weeks.
