As your dog gets older, during periods of high stress or intense activity, it can be helpful to provide targeted support for his musculoskeletal system and joints. Mobi Vital provides selected nutrients - such as MSM, collagen, turmeric and green-lipped mussel - for nutritional and physiological support for bones, connective tissue and joints. This allows your dog to maintain his physical activity in a natural way.
- Tablets with natural ingredients such as methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), collagen hydrolysate, turmeric and green-lipped mussel.
- An effective blend of natural ingredients

Stability from the inside - mobility from the outside
Bones and cartilage together form the so-called passive musculoskeletal system. They give shape to the body, contribute to stability and serve as attachment points for the muscles that keep the dog moving. Bones also store important minerals and contribute to blood formation.
With increasing age, heavy loads or an unfavourable body structure, the joints can change and become painful - for example, due to the natural breakdown of bone mass or wear and tear of the cartilage layer.
Mobi Vital provides your dog's musculoskeletal system and joints with targeted nutrients: the formula combines collagen hydrolysate and green-lipped mussel - natural sources of structure-providing proteins and glycosaminoglycans that can help supply cartilage and connective tissue. Turmeric and ginger round out the blend with secondary botanicals that are traditionally valued in naturopathy.
The claws and coat also benefit from the nutrients contained - for an all-round groomed appearance and greater well-being.
Mobi Vital is a product from the Vital range that serves as a food supplement, care and protection for your four-legged friend.
What you should know about cartilage
Cartilaginous tissue is found in places where flexible but pressure-resistant structures are needed. The cartilage matrix is essentially a gel reinforced with fibres. This gel consists of water, collagen and proteoglycans (molecules made up of proteins and polysaccharides). The collagen fibres provide the necessary tensile strength of the cartilage tissue, while the proteoglycans promote the elasticity of the cartilage. Only in this way is cartilage able to stretch and rebound during movement. Two components of cartilage are of particular importance for the elasticity of cartilage:
Glucosamine is an important component of proteoglycans, which are characterised by their ability to retain water. When large amounts of glucosamine are present, cartilage is generally more elastic. Glucosamine also stimulates cartilage cells to produce more collagen.
Chondroitin also helps to draw fluid into the proteoglycans. It therefore supports the effect of glucosamine. Chondroitin also stimulates the production of proteoglycans and collagen.
Both glucosamine and chondroitin stimulate cartilage formation. Mussels have a similar composition to cartilage.
Why joints are so important
Dogs have approximately 300 bones. The opposite ends of the bones are connected to each other by joints. These bone ends are covered with a layer of cartilage and separated from each other by a small gap. In this gap is the synovial fluid (synovia).
The joints give flexibility and freedom of movement to the skeleton by connecting the bones in a stable way, but allow rotation of the bones to be moved by the muscles. The better the joints function, the more mobile the body is.
Healthy joints are the foundation of a stable and flexible musculoskeletal system. Their buffer system ensures smooth and pain-free movement. In order to preserve the function of the joints in the long term, the care of the cartilage layer and its development is at the centre of effective preventive measures.
Frequently asked questions:
How do I know joint pain in dogs?
Dogs often show pain subtly. Look out for the following signs:
- Altered movement behavior: limping, stiffness when getting up or avoiding stairs, and jumping.
- Restlessness: less interest in walking or playing.
- Sensitivity to touch: reactions to touching certain parts of the body.
- Behavioural changes: restlessness, aggressiveness or withdrawing into oneself may indicate pain
- Physical symptoms: swelling, warmth or redness of joints.
- Important: A veterinarian should be consulted when joint pain is suspected to ensure an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Which substances help with osteoarthritis in dogs?
Certain natural substances can help promote joint function and mobility in dogs:
- Glucosamine and chondroitin: These endogenous substances are part of the articular cartilage and can support its structure.
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane). - Green-lipped mussel extract: It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and glycosaminoglycans and may support joint function.
- Devil's Claw: A medicinal plant traditionally used to support joint function.
- Turmeric: Contains curcumin which has antioxidant properties and may support joint health.
When do dogs need joint protection?
Dogs can benefit from joint protection at different stages of their lives - not just in old age or with existing problems. Joint protection is useful for:
- young dogs of large breeds
- Athletically active dogs
- Older dogs
- Overweight dogs
- Dogs with existing joint problems
Tip: A balanced diet, regular exercise and avoiding obesity are also important for joint health.

Green-lipped mussel
The New Zealand green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) comes from the clean coastal waters of New Zealand and is an integral part of the traditional New Zealand diet. It naturally provides a combination of amino acids, structural proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, minerals and trace elements. In feed supplements it provides nutritional physiological support, particularly for the musculoskeletal system. -
Curcuma
Turmeric - also known as curcuma - is a traditional plant whose golden yellow component curcumin is one of the so-called secondary plant substances. These natural polyphenols have been an integral part of Asian nutrition and botany for centuries.
Incidentally, turmeric has also been recognised in Western naturopathy for many years - especially in combination with other plant substances such as ginger or green-lipped mussel. More information can be found here. -
Spirulina
Spirulina is a nutrient-rich microalgae that is one of the oldest known life forms on Earth. It naturally contains high quality protein, vitamins (e.g. B vitamins) and minerals (e.g. iron and magnesium). Spirulina is used in feed supplements to replenish natural nutrients, especially during periods of increased stress or nutritional requirements. Due to its wide range of nutrients, spirulina is known as a supplement in many nutritional and physiological concepts for humans and animals.
Other synergistic components:
Ginger
contains bioactive substances such as gingerol, which are traditionally valued.
Arrow
contains flavonoids and carotenoids.
Methylsulfonylmethane
is a natural source of sulphur, which is an essential component of enzymes and structural proteins.
