Pro Flex contains the unique UC-II® collagen, which supports your natural immune function in the event of joint problems. In addition, frankincense and boron relieve inflammation and pain. The eggshell membrane also contains natural collagens, glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid, which regenerate and protect the cartilage tissue.
With Pro Curcumin Forte, you not only get anti-inflammatory curcumin in a particularly absorbable form (up to 40 times more bioavailable!), but also pain-relieving turmerosaccharides from the turmeric root, cell-protecting polyphenols and vitamin C, which your joint cartilages needs to form supporting collagen.
Pro Omega Ultra "lubricates" your joints with high-quality omega-3 fatty acids and also contributes the two power antioxidants vitamin E and astaxanthin. Both protect the fatty acids contained and your body cells from oxidation by free radicals.
UC-II® collagen is one of the main stars in Pro Flex and the Healthy Joints Package – and requires a little explanation. When cartilage breaks down in the joint, for example as a result of injury, inflammation or wear and tear, collagen fragments are produced that are classified as foreign by the immune system and attacked. This in turn causes and increases inflammation and pain.
UC-II® collagen has the unique property of calming this excessive immune reaction in the joint. Unlike other collagen preparations for joints, it contains native (undenatured) type 2 collagen with an intact surface structure, as is also found in articular cartilage. This is why it can act as a kind of antigen: similar to hyposensitization against allergies, the body learns to tolerate the collagen as harmless through regular intake in small quantities and therefore no longer attacks the free collagen in the joint.
Good to know: The Foundation for Micronutrients – Prevention, Health, Quality of Life (Prof. Dr. Elmar Wienecke) conducted a study investigating the influence of dietary supplements containing natural substances on joint problems.
