Having healthy intestinal mucosa is a powerful protective barrier. It contains most of the immune cells, transports nutrients into the blood and produces enzymes, antibodies − and mucous, which covers it completely, protecting it from dehydration and keeping germs and harmful substances away from the intestinal cells. This layer of mucous is also the home and breeding ground of the intestinal flora. Mucosal cells only live for a few days and have to continually renew themselves. This is why they need a lot of energy and plenty of nutrients.
Pro Mucosa combines exactly the right nutrients to effectively support the intestinal mucosa.
Lecithin or, more precisely, the phosphatidylcholine in it, is a basic substance of the protective mucous film on the intestinal mucosa and thus essential for an intact intestinal barrier. The phosphatidylcholine in Pro Mucosa comes from sunflower lecithin which is free of allergens and genetic engineering.
The amino acid glutamine is the main source of energy for all rapidly dividing cells, especially for the immune and mucous membrane cells in the intestine. Pro Mucosa contains a combination of glutamine and alanyl-glutamine. The dipeptide alanyl-glutamine provides glutamine in a very stable and easily absorbable form.
Three B vitamins are particularly important for a healthy intestinal mucosa and are therefore of course also contained in Pro Mucosa: riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3) and biotin (B7). All three are involved in DNA synthesis and cell division and are therefore indispensable for the formation and regeneration of the mucous membranes.
In addition, Pro Mucosa supplies the body with organic sulphur (MSM), quercetin, resveratrol, ficin and sulforaphane from broccoli extract. Also included is the important medicinal fungus Hericium erinaceus.
Targeted release in the intestine Gastric-juice-resistant, delayed-release capsules (DRcaps®) ensure that the ingredients are only released at their destination, the intestine.
