Pro Vitamin B Komplex
For energy, nerves and psyche: Pro Vitamin B Komplex is a high-dose vitamin B complex with all eight B vitamins. It also contains the cofactors betaine, choline, inositol and para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), which are important for their optimal absorption and utilisation.
Natural B vitamins from quinoa germ buds
The formula is composed of a natural vitamin B complex (PANMOL®-B-COMPLEX), extracted using a patented method from quinoa germ buds. The germ buds are cultivated in a special vitamin B nutrient solution. The plants incorporate the B vitamins into their natural matrix forming organically bound B vitamins in the process.
The PANMOL®-B-COMPLEX contains the following vitamin B compounds:
- Vitamin B1: Thiamine, TPP, TTP
- Vitamin B2: Riboflavin, FMN, FADH, FAD
- Vitamin B3: Niacin, NADH, NAD, NADPH, NADP
- Vitamin B5: Pantothenic acid, coenzyme A
- Vitamin B6: Pyridoxine, pyridoxol, pyridoxamine
- Vitamin B7: Biotin, Biocytin
- Vitamin B9: Folic acid, folates
- Vitamin B12: cyanocobalamin, hydroxycobalamin, methylcobalamin
The total amount of each individual B vitamin is given under COMPOSITION. The proportionate share of the vitamin forms mentioned here and their natural intermediate stages and cleavage products are subject to natural fluctuation and cannot, therefore, be specified precisely.
Bioactive vitamin forms
For a good balance and dosage, Pro Vitamin B Komplex combines a wide variety of different vitamin B forms. Vitamins B2, B6, folic acid and B12 are available as active coenzyme forms that the body can directly utilise. Vitamin B12 is contained in its storage form hydroxycobalamin and in its active forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.
Yeast-free vitamin B complex
Also suitable for people with a yeast intolerance: with the vitamin B complex from quinoa germ buds, Pro Vitamin B Komplex is a natural alternative to yeast-based vitamin B preparations.
Fact sheet B vitamins
B vitamins are water-soluble vitamins. The body cannot store them for long and excretes any surpluses in urine. This is why they need to be regularly taken up with food. Vitamin B12 enjoys special status. It is the only vitamin B that can be stored for a prolonged period in the body and is nearly exclusively found in food of animal origin.
In the body, the B vitamins are closely connected. They are involved – mainly through enzyme activation – in basic metabolic processes. Each B vitamin has its own tasks, however in several processes they work together as a team. Folic acid, B6 and B12, for instance, jointly regulate the homocysteine level in the blood.
Health-related statements:
- Thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7) and cobalamin (B12) are important for a healthy energy metabolism.
- Thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7) and cobalamin (B12) contribute to a healthy nervous system.
- Thiamine (B1), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), folic acid (B9) and cobalamin (B12) support mental function.
- Riboflavin (B2) helps to protect cells from oxidative stress.
- Riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), folic acid (B9) and cobalamin (B12) can help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
- Pyridoxine (B6), folate (B9) and cobalamin (B12) help to regulate the homocysteine metabolism. Homocysteine is a by-product from human protein metabolism (methionine metabolism) from which is converted or broken down by the three vitamins.
- Pyridoxine (B6) contributes to normal cysteine synthesis. Cysteine is an amino acid, which serves as a source material for various compounds, including glutathione, coenzyme A and taurine.
- Choline contributes to normal lipid metabolism.
- Folic acid (B9) and cobalamin (B12) have functions in cell division.
- Riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6) and cobalamin (B12) are involved in the formation of red blood cells, which are needed for oxygen transport in the body.
- Folic acid (B9) is important for the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy, including the placenta.
