Pro Osteo combines olive leaf extract, milk protein hydrolysate (OSTEUM™), vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 – an optimal combination for the stability of your bones.

Olive leaf extract – antioxidant protection for the bones

Factors such as hormonal changes, oxidative stress and an insufficient supply of nutrients can unbalance bone metabolism. Particularly during the menopause or with increasing age, bone density often decreases rapidly, which can affect the stability of the skeleton. In the long term, such bone loss is associated with an increased risk of diseases such as osteoporosis.

Pro Osteo contains olive leaf extract with 20 % oleuropein, a secondary plant substance with antioxidant properties. Scientific studies show that olive leaf extract can promote the activity of bone-building cells (osteoblasts), while at the same time counteracting processes that affect the breakdown of bone substance by osteoclasts.¹

In addition, a placebo-controlled human study indicates that olive leaf extract is associated with the regulation of osteocalcin levels – a protein that indicates increased osteoblast activity and thus plays a key role in bone mineralisation. Possible effects on fat metabolism have also been observed, which may be of particular interest to women during and after the menopause.²

Optimised calcium absorption with OSTEUM™ and vitamin D3 & K2

Calcium is a central building block of our bones – but not everything that is absorbed through food can be efficiently utilised by the body. This is where OSTEUM™ comes into play, a patented branded raw material with over 35 % casein phosphopeptides (CPP).

CPP are natural peptides from milk protein that bind calcium and make it more available to the body. Scientific studies suggest that CPPs have a positive effect on calcium absorption and may be associated with bone mineralisation.^3,4 This can be particularly important in phases with increased bone metabolism – such as during the menopause or in old age.

In addition to OSTEUM™, vitamins D3 and K2 also play a central role in calcium utilisation. Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium, and together with vitamin K to the maintenance of healthy bones. Vitamin K is also involved in processes that regulate calcium metabolism.

• RECOMMENDED INTAKE: It is recommended to take 3 capsules daily with sufficient liquid. It is best to take them with a meal. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded.

Keep out of the reach of small children. Please leave the desiccant packets in the cans until the product has been used up. They contain food-grade silica (silicon dioxide) and protect the product by absorbing moisture that enters the can each time it is opened. This keeps the product dry.
